I am a self-taught photographer and eventide is my favorite time of day -- you know, that whole magic hour thing. It inspired my gouache watercolor logo.
One of my favorite memories from California is the many times I found myself driving on Bascom Avenue in Campbell at dusk, both as a teenager in the 1980s and when I returned to raise my son twenty years later. The incredible blue tones in the sky where it meets the Los Gatos mountains moved me deeply. My painting also brings the ocean to mind. The mountains and the coast are the most inspiring places for me to spend my time and they never fail to restore my soul and energy.
Besides being a photographer, I'm a wife, mama and four-time non-Hodgkins lymphoma survivor. (You can ask me anything about cancer, I'm here for you). I love the change of seasons: the pale winter sun, the promise of spring, the carefree days of summer and the crisp air in the fall.
Tidbit: I'm a Canon Girl and I shoot with a 50 mm lens 95% of the time.
